This project is a visionary response to the challenges of developing a site adjacent to a protected Ecological Corridor, ensuring the preservation and integration of the existing green space.
Once a former bowling green and club, the site has remained a valuable natural habitat, and the design concept embraces this heritage by making the building an extension of the surrounding green environment. The architecture integrates seamlessly with nature through features like a continuous green roof planted with trees, shrubs, and flowers, recreating the green space lost to development. By aligning the building with the natural surroundings, it becomes a harmonious part of the landscape, offering hope and inspiration to its users while respecting the ecological integrity of the site.

At the heart of the design is the Main Auditorium, positioned as the focal point of the building and the site. Its prominence is emphasized by the symbolic green roof, which connects the space with nature and creates a serene environment for churchgoers. The building’s layout ensures a visual connection with nature through thoughtful orientation and the inclusion of green courtyards, offering views of greenery from every main space. Biophilic principles have been carefully applied, enhancing the health and well-being of users by incorporating natural daylight, cross ventilation, and variable airflow. These features not only improve comfort and productivity but also contribute to a sense of tranquility and spiritual connection.

The design minimizes its impact on the site’s existing flora and fauna by sinking part of the building below ground, reducing its visible massing and ensuring it remains considerate of neighboring buildings. The green roof, sustainable parking solutions, and predominantly green site layout reflect the project’s commitment to preserving the ecological character of the area. By prioritizing natural elements, the design fosters a harmonious relationship between architecture and the environment, creating a space that inspires its users and respects the unique characteristics of the site.
